Can Portable CCleaner (https://portableapps.com/node/12969) clean my Portable Firefox and other PortableApps, and how?

I havent had a reason to use the portable launcher for CCleaner. CCleaner does support custom folders, but the way that one selects these folders, leads me to believe it does not support relative paths. I haven't tried editing these custom folders in the settings.ini file to read as relative paths.
I'll have to give this a try when I am next at my home computer.
Maybe PA.c should send an email/petition to Piriform requesting their popular tool be officially released as a PAF program. How long then till it supported relative paths and maybe even had settings selecting which portable apps we wanted to clean?

Exactly what is it you want to "clean" in your .paf's ??
CCleaner is not just for Windows anymore, as it helps trim the fat from installed programs (yes, arguably, in Windows). You can also have it delete custom, non Windows specific folders.
Think about Google Chrome Portable. You have to go into the settings to have it empty the cache. It would be nice to have a PA.c program that would delete that stuff, or the cache from Firefox Portable (if you don't have it set to automatically), or the log files from ClamWin Portable.
Maybe you are like me and have a Trash folder on your portable drive that is designated for files wished to be securely deleted.

DiskCleaner supports relative paths it seems (I just tested). It's a great little tool for cleaning files/registry-keys from common system/application locations. It supports custom "plugins" so you can delete files to your hearts content.
It looks like it went open source too, probably a good candidate for PA.c-icizing.
EDIT: Interesting, looks like a portable version was being developed.
like what Augi said, to clean out temporary data, CCleaner can clean out cookies, download history, Internet cache, Internet history, and compact database (a new feature of CCleaner 2.26.1050), it makes Firefox run faster and load faster.
it would be cool if Portable CCleaner can clean all that.
Another example is GIMP Portable, whenever I use it, it leaves files in the thumbnail section, it would be cool to have Portable CCleaner clean that too.
And another is Audacity Portable, whenever I use it, it leaves a audacity_portable.reg in the settings area, which tends to bloat with every use, it would be cool if Portable CCleaner...
Question, can Eraser Portable do all of this?
I´ve just stumbled across this thread and I liked the idea of cleaning my portable apps with relative paths. So I explored the options of CCleaner and I got to the Include menu. So on I added my firefox portable cache path, then I did a right-click and tried with both options, the Edit was the same as when you add the path but the manual allow you to fully edit it. The only thing that has to be done it´s to remove the drive letter i.e E: and the path becomes relative. So CCleaner supports relative paths, you guys just have to digg a little more
Sometimes it´s better to just try, then you can make conclusions.
BTW Here are my Firefox Portable paths in the Include menu

And hopefully somewhere there are posted the default claening paths for the Apps that CCleaner supports so that we can just make them relative paths for cleaning the USB.
CCleaner has a feature that allows people to configure extra entries in a file called winapp2.ini. It just has to be in the same folder as the CCleaner executable.
You can see the format and get a wide-ranging winapp2.ini already created on the Piriform forum.
If you are a member there, you can download the file. If you aren't, then you can copy the stuff off of the screen and then paste it into a file you create.
You can modify the file to include your FirefoxPortable or any other program.

Is it possible for you to supply the required text one would need to add to the linked file to clean Firefox Portable and Flash cookie if FFP is installed to the default location?

I had a look at the Piriform Docs "How to add your own program for CCleaner to clean" section long enough to know it is beyond me at this stage. Still the other entries in the file will be helpful. Thanks for pointing them out. If and when I work out how to add entries I'll do one for Firefox Portable in it's default location and post it. If someone doesn't beat me to it

If you give me the "default" files/locations and the stuff to clean (delete), I'll be happy to make the ini with comments embedded so others can adapt it before they run it, but I'm afraid that someone will complain that it did something they didn't want.
Did you see the recent complaint about the default configuration for ThunderbirdPortable? That's what worries me....

I was thinking of entries for the cookies, bits left behind from uninstalled addons, cache, etc. On second thought realised most of this is dealt with by the "Clear Recent History" feature (duh:)). The uninstalled addons are still left behind but can't think of a way to isolate them from the active addons.
Therefore I realise this really isn't neseccary. Other than the bits left by uninstalled addons there isn't anything that isn't taken care of by clear recent history. Still the Winapp2.ini removes a lot of handy things such as flash bits. So thanks.

The system CCleaner set up is pretty flexible. I was surprised to see the different kinds of ini files it understands.
I think the browser's flash remnants have been of concern for some people.

I clean history and stuff using the Tools > Clear Recent History (Ctrl+Shift+Del), you can customize stuff in Tools > Options...
it would be nice if PortableApps.com gives guidelines on using CCleaner for cleaning our PortableApps, like giving specific paths that Portable CCleaner can follow by using the Option > Include function on CCleaner.

For those brave souls who NEED to clean the Local Shared Objects, here is the section to add to CrapCleaner's winapp2.ini. If you don't have one already, you can make it using just the following lines:

Please note that inside the #SharedObjects folder there is a folder named with random letters. Since there is no way to know what those random letters are, this script deletes the entire #SharedObjects folder and everything in it. That folder and a different random letter folder is re-created by the system as needed.
This has worked for me on my own Windows XP system. Please use caution when trying it on your own computer or any shared computer.
