I would like a portable version of MySql
Xampp is good but would like a simpler version with only Mysql to use with my Delphi projects.

Is it possible?
I don't mind installing apache over and over but mysql would be nice to have sitting on a drive.
Apache would too but I'm not that smart to know how to do it, and when it's done by pa.c it's of the highest possible standard.

Perhaps the MiniServer_MySQL5.0.67 is something for you.

The have made portable versions with Apache, Perl, PhP, MySQL and combinations, with Joomla, phpBB, MediaWiki e.c.t.
And it is Freeware.

I will look into that, interesting I never thought it would exist but it seems it does but as always, starting off in sourceforge means it is difficult to ask questions, etc.
I noticed that "mini" has flavors but am hoping for all-in-one, eg, apache, mysql & php, of course perl would be good as well.
Hopefully the powers that be see portability as a goal and can accomodate, as it would be the ultimate to be able to just upload a database, config files, web pages etc. to a server that you prototyped at home first.
