u3 PFF & bookmarks

I recently purchased a U3 drive and installed portable firefox. I think did an update to version 1.5.0.4 of firefox.

The problem I seem to be having is that my bookmarks do not seem to hold on the u3 drive. By this, i mean that I keep importing my bookmarks. They then show up in PFF. But if I close PFF and reopen it they are gone.

Any thoughts?

PFF or FF for U3

Portable Firefox and Firefox for U3 are different programs, albeit based on the exact same bits and very similar. Which are you using? And, if it's FF for U3, is it the PortableApps package or the YourBrainz package (they're totally different).

I am using FF for u3. It is NOT the YourBrainz package. I found your package to work better for me.

I searched the forums earlier. I then came across some additinal FAQ's you had on the install of FF for u3. I uninstalled and then reinstalled FF for u3 on my u3 USB device. I then followed you instructions to copy local settings. This actaully seems to have worked.

I have not, as yet, updated, via the built in upate, FF for u3 to the current release fo FF. Is that advisable?

Sure

It's made to support auto-update of Firefox. Just be sure to have 30mb free on the drive (Firefox has a bug where it won't check). You can upgrade when I do a new FF for U3 release as well.
