I'm unsure if it's Firefox itself or the portable version, but Firefox has gotten a little "Crash Happy" since I've upgraded.
The majority of the crashes are occurring with Facebook apps. On the upside, Firefox isn't freezing up to the point I have to kill it.
I just want to make sure that it's just not me having this issue.
Not sure about any Facebook apps, but FirefoxPortable 3.5.6 is stable and quick here.
If you have FirefoxPortable installed, you could first try reinstalling FirefoxPortble over the top of your existing stuff. If that doesn't help, you might want to install FirefoxPortable to a separate directory, and see what happens.

My FF portable is running fine as well. It's running slightly faster and I have not seen any crashes yet.
I'm tired of people living in their fantasy world when the clock is ticking away, and when they are unable to see reality for what it is.
Ensure you have Java, Flash and whatever else the FB apps are written in installed and up to date.

It crashed on me as well on a tvguide webpage within 5 minutes of installing it -- as a precaution I did a reinstall of 3.5.6 & that fixed it, no further problems ... not a user of facebook apps so can't say yes/no as to blaming them.
as mentioned keep flash, shockwave, java etc up to date and you shouldn't encounter too many problems.
If it's running OK for everybody else, the only probable thing would be my thumbdrive itself.
I'll try doing a clean re-install (backing up my profile) just to be sure.

After doing a clean re-install of all my portable apps (after backing up the critical stuff), it's working better than before... after all my add-ons got re-enabled.
All the upgrades might have cause the instabilities.

Glad to hear that you're happy.

I've had the same problem after upgrade firefox portable.
Now I found that I lost my write permissions in the folder where I had firefox (c:\firefoxportable).
I went to folder properties and add full access to my user, and the problem was solved.
I don't know why I lost folder permissions (Windows XP), but my problem was solved.
Bye.
