Anybody knows if it is possible to run portable open office from the sd drive of a nokia n900?

nope. unless there's a meamo port. Some members will undoubtedly chime in (I hope :))

EDIT: If you mean using the sd card of the n900 as a usb mass storage device and plugging it into the computer with a usb cord you should be fine Wink My mistake for not reading carefully enough.
