Hello to all,
many thanks for the great program Tucan.
I want to use the program Tucan in Windows Vista PE.
By opening the dialog box “select a folder” you get an empty dialog box.
In this dialog box you can't enter a target folder.
Probably there is missing a DLL of the Internet Explorer wich
is not available in Windows Vista PE.
Is there a way to use an other dialog box or use this
empty dialog box with other parameter for the DLL-Call.
I am not a Windows Shell expert but I suppose that you use
an API function like SHBrowseForFolder.
This function retuns data in Windows Vista PE only
if a valid drive will be specified e.g. C:. or
with some parameter that show on my computer.
The parameter for my computer is "::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}".
I have heard that there is also another function
SHGetSpecialFolderLocation(Handle, CSIDL_DRIVES, BI.pidlRoot
which would be able to point at "Computer".
This should be working in Windows Vista PE.
I don't want to use DLLs or program parts out of the Vista DVD
or out of the Windows XP CD.
Many thanks from Germany

Toucan is certainly not tested on any of the Windows PE editions and is not supported on them I am afraid. Assuming you have some sort of shell you should be able to drag and drop a folder onto the text box next to the button, does that work? Or you could just type the path you require (this assumes you are talking about the Sync tab).
