AppInfo?

Does anyone know what this "AppInfo" folder is that John's been including on the later PortableApp releases? ie. "Apps\PortableFirefox\AppInfo"

Is it for the PortableApps launcher that he's working on?

Nope

I can, with 99% certainty say it will have a .txt file about the app in it.

Yes, I can see

Yes, I can see that there is a text file (ini file rather) in this folder. There is a copy of the program's icon there too. I was inquiring on why this folder is on the latest updates of the majority of the portable apps. As the INI file structure is like this:

[AppInfo]
Name=Portable ClamWin
Version=0.88.2.1
Publisher=PortableApps.com (John T. Haller) and the ClamWin team
URL=https://portableapps.com/portableclamwin
Description=Portable ClamWin is the popular ClamWin antivirus packaged as a portable app ...
DiskSpace=15

I thought it might be a file for the PortableApps.com launcher to read and display in the menu (which is the reason the icons there too)

rgds,
Peter

Yeh

Probably for the menu.
I'll contact Renè (the maker of Libertà Launchpad) and see if he can use those for the menu...
