Turning Portable Apps On/Off

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for specific functionality that I'd be interested if any of you knows is possible.

Basically I want to do the following:

- take snapshot
- install bunch of apps
- take snapshot
- compare snapshot and make package

Then have the ability to install package / deinstall package at will.

Basically I want to portable-ize my after effects plugins, but without portable-izing after effects.

LightScreen Portable can take

LightScreen Portable can take snapshots of the screen. Is that what you're asking for?

regshot

I think he is asking for snapshot of the system.

This is done in general with software called regshot, or regshot portable.

But for really making package of installed apps, well this what they call Thinstall or Thinapp , you can get it from VMware company.

He is asking for software

He is asking for software automating the process of making a portable app.
there is software around somewhere and I found some videos on youtube demonstrating it with that software but keep in mind it only works for simple apps Sad

There is

It's called the Portable App Creator (it works, but it does it in a very dogmatic because it can't tell the difference between the real stuff and fake stuff like antivirus entries (this is why antivirus sucks).

Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
