Usb problem help

I bought One of these http://www3.pny.com/4GB-Micro-Swivel-Attach---BLUE-P2855C430.aspx about a month ago. It worked fine and today I went to put files on it and it did not come up, I went to a couple different computers still not working. My dad was able to get it to come up but it soon stopped again.
Any suggestions to fix it or get files off?

Did you buy it from a reputable vendor of off of someplace like eBay? eBay has a lot of counterfeit devices for sale with low build quality.

As far as rescuing files, if the USB connector is physically broken, you maight be able to get it to work while holding it in a certain position and then copy you files off to a hard drive.

Let this be a warning to others: Make backups of your drives people!

all can break

recently I bought again one disk2go, PURE2, single level flash stick. Did work 3 days, then refused to write anything to the stick and reading was full of errors. Since got it from reputable store, they replaced it without comment.

2gb was 128mb

there was a guy who worked here who bought some drives from best buy. they where 2GB drives or advertised as such. He had an issue of his files getting corrupted so i tested some stuff out. turned out that the chipset inside it was a legit samsung flash NAND but some one had modded it to make it think it was 2GB when in fact it was 128MB. he was unable to return it due to certian circumstances which is one of the many reasons i no longer shop at Best Buy.
