I would suggest that this be put on hold for a while for several reasons.
Most importantly I am currently investigating a serious problem with the results of the scanner which I hope were an accident on their part. The program found 1,347 threats on what I know to be a clean machine. And I don't mean cookies.
Also the program requires Administrator rights to run.
Additionally the program package can't be updated. It extracts itself to the temp directory and runs from there. If you click the update definitions button it will update the copy in temp directory [which is a 5MB download by the way as they don't know how to do a delta update of their defs] but this will have no effect on the package itself. The downloaded package will always have the definitions that it had when you downloaded it. So for it to be up to date you would need to download a new copy every day.
I am hoping that the copy I downloaded had a serious flaw in it [which does not inspire me with confidence] and was not an attempt at ScareWare.
Again, I would wait on this, they are new at this [they just started releasing their portable version] and they need to work out some bugs.
Tim
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
