Force compatibility mode

Hello guys,

Is there any way to force compatibility mode of an exe?
I got an exe on the portable app stick that runs fine under XP but in Vista and Windows 7 it only runs under XP compatibility mode.
Is there a way that I can force to start the exe in XP mode because it seems that when I insert the stick in another system, the compatibility mode isn't remembered.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers

Don't Know

I don't know offhand, but I'm pretty sure you can't with a shortcut. You may be able to programatically with a launcher, but we've no plans to use it ourselves because any apps that don't work on Windows 7 are rejected now. You can't be sure a given Windows 7 box will have compatibility mode anyway (most won't since they'll be Home Premium).

If you can setup a shortcut on the desktop of each PC to the app on your portable device with the given configuration and make sure your drive has the same drive letter each time (not the same between PCs just the same on a given PC each time you plug it in), that should work, in theory.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
