Is there any way to make it where eXpresso only associates files on the portable-drive to the designated programs(ie run mkv on vlcportable)? That way, even if eXpresso is running, the hosts files on the hosts computer will still run on their own designated programs(ie run mkv on Media Player Classic).

You could use Xenon Portable (File Browser)
It has a built in File Associator, and already configured with PortableApps.
BTW, this belongs in the Other Apps Support forum.
I thought it actually belonged in the eXpresso beta thread. Other Apps is only for officially released apps, as far as I'm aware.
I agree with you on this one, Bruce. The question should be in the eXpresso beta thread, and Other Apps is for officially released apps without their own subforum.
