I use VLC Portable with XP-Home-SP3. After updating VLC to version 1.0.5 VLC has bold typs. How can I change that?

This isn't a bug in VLC Portable; it can only be an issue with VLC itself or your theme settings in XP. If you wish to follow it up, please ask VideoLAN about it as they'll be more likely to be able to help you as they wrote the software - we just made it portable.

You are wright. I didn't mean that it is a bug in Portable. Therefore I deleeted the [BUG].
Do others see the same VLC outfit?

I installed version 1.0.5 under an other system and saw that there was not the same ugly menue. Than I looked more deeply into the properties of my display settings and changed one setting which I can't translate into English (why does not everyone understands German??):
I disabled a design effect "Folgende Methode zum Kantenglätten [Antialiasing] von Bildschirmschriftarten verwenden: ClearType"
The spook is over. It's not as fine as before but good enough.
