Yep, the song is O Fortuna by Carl Orff. I only know because I have a friend on AIM who's into classical music.

No minimodding please. Especially considering you've only been here for like 2 hours.

Atmosphere is encouraged here. And, more than likely, a user's question has already been answered, all one needs to do is search. (Hence the sig ) This forum was created for the sharing of information, yes, but at the moment, it does not need to be overly policed, and 'regulars' like Bruce and company contribute their share to the community.
(I promise, I am not modding! Just sticking up for people.)
When I said "no minimodding", Ashes, I was referring to youknowme, not you. No worries.

She was backing you up, Bruce.
And to youknowme, if someone wants to be heard they should try doing simple things like giving links to what they are talking about...
Second time today someone wants results, and say "use Google". (here) If you want something, take the time to post a link to it!
And don't assume that because something is "well known" everyone will know about it.
Please don't bold my name. I only do that when somebody's forum name is quite clearly an alias. If you notice, I don't bold Ryan's name when I use it, but if I were to address him as rmccue (a screenname, even if it is part of his real name), I would.

fat cerberus? That's pretty much my universal nickname on the Internet now (searching Google, I've found people with the alias elsewhere, but most are me), but since you guys liked my real name better on account of it made my posts seem more respectable, I returned to using it when I came back.

Like (?) said, the atmosphere is more relaxed.
Plus, with these Drupal forums, you can clearly see if/when the post goes off track.
My universal nickname is usually rmccue except on SourceForge.
In related news, I am now a project admin on lilina which PortaBlog is built on!

Guys, just breathe for a second. echo6, I'm sorry if we've offended you, it really wasn't intentional. But. It's generally good forum manners for when you are trying to acquire something (a service, product, info, what have you) to post a link. It's quite possible that it may be redundant to some, but it really changes the tone of your post. While Snort may be well known, not everyone who deals with servers uses it. Also, to prove a point (;) ), the best way to find answers to questions is to search, and I don't mean the forums. My impression of the users here at this time, is that not many have a lot of experiance in the area these apps cover.
Just an OT observation:
This forum more closely resemble a real conversation structure than traditional forums. That being the case, I really don't think most traditional forum rules will be as effective. And, just like real conversations face-to-face, it's bound to drift in interesting directions, because of each contributing users unique personality.
Just a theory.
*wanders off now*
That's what makes us unique!
And I didn't know what Snort was! (Mind you, for 12 I know a lot more than most)

Wow, you're only 12, Ryan? Didn't expect to find someone so young on a forum like this (not that anyone's going to hold it against you... I know I certainly won't)!

Nope, didn't realize it. I think it's because you act so much older. You're a lot more mature than most of the 12-year-olds I've met.

I didn't really believe it! I'm really gullible most of the time, and my skepticism tends to crop up at odd times. Anyway, I agree with Bruce: You really give the impression of a much older person, and all of you guys' ages don't detract from your talents here at all.
And to think: When I first came here, I thought the lot of you were 40 yr old men with kids! Though there were some odd discrepencies...
Hey, I already feel old. Don't make it worse! (I'm 22)
But yeah... Ryan always seemed like he was at least 16 to me.

I've read a lot of posts in these forums and the regulars seem to use the forums for social purposes and more often personal preferences.
Case in point above.
John should put more info in the guidelines related to this.
