A couple of reasons

First, from what I can find on this site, OpenOffice Portable is released in only a couple of languages, primarily English and German. This is because it takes a lot of work to release even one language, and so these are the most popular.

Second, OpenOffice.org creates Language Packs that will change the language of the interface and dictionaries. The ones that are fully tested are available from OpenOffice.org here. Swedish is definitely not there, but it is available from the UNTESTED packages here.

Third, even if you download these language packs, the windows installer for them is not necessarily Portable, and could leave registry traces. There is a discussion here in which there is talk of creating a Portable Language Pack installer, but it's not yet available.

16 Languages

Actually, we currently release OpenOffice.org Portable in 16 languages and have been progressively adding to it. You can find them all here:
https://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable/localization

If there were a stable release of OpenOffice.org in Swedish, we'd definitely consider it, but there doesn't appear to be.

My mistake

Sorry, John, since my primary tongue is English, I never noticed that small link that says "Other Languages" - I just saw the big shiny red button! Smile

So are you intending to create a Portable Language Pack Installer? That could save you effort in the long run.

As John said ...

... swedisch version will come.

And now there is a swedish final
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html Smile
so there are good chances for the portable version with OOo Portable 3.2 Rev.2.
