Set my portable apps as default

We need a portable application that sets all portable applications as the default when on and sets them back to their normal settings when off. Anybody got any ideas?

This has been covered. Defaults are stored in the registry. If and only if you have admin access, you can write to the registry. On a comp that you have admin rights, chances are you're familiar with it, and it is most likely a home (i.e. your) computer. If it is not yours, but you have admin access, then it is possible to make an application that will do what you said, but it is probably easier to set the defaults back manually (i.e. Windows Explorer window -> View -> Folder Options -> File Types tab.
