Thunderbird Portable Russian (vv. 3.0.0 - 3.0.3) - memory leak

A Russian-speaking user (he doesn't  speak English) downloaded TB Portable v. 3 Russian from this site and now he reports a big memory leak. Here's the translation of his report:

ОS - Windows XP SP Professional SP2.
CPU - Celeron 2.80GHz.
RAM - 2 Gb.
Thunderbird ver.3.0.0 - 3.0.3, portableapps.com - Russian. Upgrade from Thunderbird ver.2.x.
Immediately after start TB consumes 62Mb of RAM, at the end of the day memory consuming increases up to 1 Gb.
(Memory consuming gradually grows up: during first days of using TB memory was increasing to 300-400 Mb).
E-mail providers - Yandex, Rambler, Gmail. The biggest database: Rambler - about 900 letters.
There wasn't any leak in versions 2.x

Could anybody help to find the solution of the user's problem?

More RAM

TB3 uses much more RAM than TB2. It caches several things like IMAP messages in RAM. Like Firefox, it uses an intelligent RAM cache and won't overload the system, though. At least it's supposed to work that way. My local copy of TB is running at 100MB after about 15 minutes.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

TB3

I'm from Russia too Smile

Got same issue running TB 3.0.4 (English)
Registered Gmail, Yahoo, and some private pop3, IMAP accounts

Got HUUUGE amount of e-mails in GMail.

TB eats memory with time then dies when no memory available.
I have tried turning indexing off. No help

Upd: Running Windows 7, Sony Vaio VGN-Z21VRN
