Description: DM2 manipulates windows in various ways - minimize to tray, minimize to floating icon, always on top, roll up, resize, align to screen edges, hide, set opacity etc. DM2 also adds a user-defined menu to Open/Save dialog boxes (with favourites and recent files/folders etc.) and includes custom plugins which add extra features such as virtual desktops.

I tidied up the original INI file and added the PortableApps.com folders plus a few general Windows things to the Open/Save dialog while I was at it. If you want to go back to the original, it's in the settings directory as "dm2~orig.ini".

Seems OK on windows 7 so far, if I find any issues and I'll let you know.
Thanks for introducing me to a great piece of software! Up until recently I've been using deskpins to achieve (some of) the functionality DM2 provides, but this seems far superior. I'm looking forward to seeing how this project progresses. No problems with functionality so far on XP SP3, unfortunately I lack the knowledge to comment on how well it cleans up after itself etc though...

This is working like a charm so far. I mostly use the virtual desktop plugin and occasionally the folder shortcuts. No problems to report, it's working exactly like the non PA.c version did, and I use it daily.
I should add, I'm using Win XP with admin rights.
DM2 killed Explorer once (had to reboot to fix it), but I haven't been able to reproduce that. Also, RSSOwl crashed after I used DM2 to minimize it to tray.

Re: Explorer. I seem to remember that it did something similar (I can't recall the details) when I first started using it ages ago. I put it down to the fact that I was manually editing the [favorites_menu] section of the INI, which seems very unforgiving if any mistakes are made (not that the GUI is any more intuitive!). Perhaps that's not the case here but it's worth bearing in mind.
Re: RSSOwl. Not sure about that one except to say that it's never given me a problem minimizing anything to the tray.
Re: Explorer. It had something to do with the hotkey this time; I set a hotkey (I believe it was F7), pressed the hotkey, and watched Explorer go under. I've just avoided that area ever since.
Re: RSSOwl. I can't seem to reproduce that, so maybe it was just an RSSOwl issue that happened to crop up at the right time to get DM2 blamed? Anyway, it hasn't happened again with RSSOwl, or with any other app, so I'm not concerned about it.
It's been quite an effective little app; thanks for portabilizing it!

This program doesn't seem to work with Google Chrome windows? No problem on any others.
