Good to see an open source option for multimedia conversion. Until it's picked up you could use XMedia Converter Portable (Freeware).

i got xmedia and it works great but i want miro b/c it has a vary easy user interface so that one of my friend can use it without having me to explain to them how the program works.

[EDIT] This program requires .NET 3.5. making this program not fully portable. I myself don't portablize .NET programs, but if someone else wants to try, feel free.
