Hi to All,
I found another torrent client named BitSpirit.
Im testing it already few days on many different PCs and environments, and It looks working pretty well, better than others, eg. uTorrent (which has the drive letter problems)
So, I think BitSpirit is an application ready for being a PortableApps!!
I think, it could be PortableApps Team choice to contact them.
Greetings

I think you didn't understand what they told you in your other post concerning this. The uTorrent build from http://www.utorrent.com/ isn't be default portable. (But AFAIK, you can even turn it portable with an INI file)
But we do NOT just repackage that version but the author of our portable build wrote a launcher which copies files and registry entries from the USB drive to the PC before launching uTorrent and back on shutdown.
And there aren't problems with drive letters as the launcher adjusts them in uTorrent's settings when the drive's dive letter changes.
What won't work is moving uTorrent to another path on the same (or another) drive, eg from D:\somepath\utorrent\ to D:\someotherpath\utorrent.
Did you even try out the PAc version?

Benedikt93,
Im suggesting the PortableApps team about another program, a torrent client, if I can.
The discussion about uTorrent is open in the other post.
Please answer on the other post/topic, thanks.
Greetings
Sorry, this might have sounded a bit rude, but what I wanted to say is that there is no need for another bittorrent program if PAc already has one which normally works.

BitSpirit, Tixati, Deluge, Bitcomet,

Otherwise, You can still use Bitcomet and Tixati in its Portable zip archives from its creators (Tixati Portable, Bitcomet Portable) But they´re not in PAF format
http://download.bitcomet.com/achive/BitComet_1.20.zip
http://www.tixati.com/download/portable.html
Or extremely old and buggy Halite build
https://portableapps.com/node/20543
But they´re not in PAF format (only uTorrent which is bad for privacy of users according Bittorrent Inc.)
Deluge Portable (USB version)

BitComet Portable

was there - for many years - automatically
All I can say is that the developers are users just like you! If no one appears to have the time or energy to create what you want why not consider trying to do it yourself? All the tools and applications to do it are here on the site. I have done this myself for a few programs that I personally wanted and tehn threw out to the public in case anyone else was interested.

I´m not requesting same programs every day
I see eight different titles requested, I see many forum nodes requested. What I do not see is any interest by you in even trying to make one of those a reality! So out of ALL the posts which one you want the most? MAYBE focusing on one would be more beneficial?

hey man, or woman whoever you are, and whatever is your age, where did you see "eight different titles"? chill out... if you are in mood to attack someone I suggest to come back to you bar or just tell me where you are Im coming to teach you some good manners..
Greetings
I suggested that improvement as I think its a good thig, moreover Im not a computer programmer so cant create PAs..
P.S.
Benedikt93, can I ask you, why there is "no need for another bittorrent program"?
Is it a PA rule, only one kind of program allowed in PA?
So, maybe you can tell me why, for example, there are 2 PDF readers (Foxit Reader and Sumatra), why more eraser tools (Eraser, EraserDrop..), more than one audio player, internet explorer clients, and so on..?
Or maybe you have something personal with uTorrent..? :))
I think vf2nsr meant z25blink, not you.
There isn't really a rule, it's only what I think John T Haller (the guy behind PAc) wants to not have a big mess with hundreds of apps. And I also have nothing personal with uTorrent, but it's just enough for my needs, I don't use torrents really often.
But if you want to see BitSpirit here you can do it yourself. Take a look at:
If it's natively portable, you can for just your own use also include it into the menu like this: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#addingotherapps
"Der Klügere gibt nach, deshalb regieren Dumme die Welt."
vf2nsr attacked on me and I didnt real advantage from his posts. No progress and try to understand from him.
First off lets get one thing straight i am a user just as you are. I am not a developer. That being said I have not attacked you rather I have been trying to assist you. I am willing to see what I can do with Deluge, I just downloaded it and will look at it later tonight. Generally I try to make portable programs I want or need, not programs that I have no use for. I only got involved to try to help. Instead I have had nothing but grief. You know you don't have to be a developer to make a program you like portable. As for the official developers they usually focus on the many not the one, in other words if many people are interested they tend to focus on those.
So in a nutshell hang tight and I will see what I can do with Deluge.

OK, our previous angers are out, so could be quiescent again.
nice to try your endeavor about Deluge
re you intending on using this on your own computer or others? I have yet to see it in operation as I gave up after allowing over 50 web addresses permission through my firewall. My thinking is if you intend on using this on other computers there may be issues with admin privileges and firewalls?

multiple computers with admin rights,
+ on non-admin

( firewall could be allowed by standard user = maybe

Well seeing as how I still can not access it yet as it throws my firewall into a feeding frenzy with all the address it wants to access, and unfortunately it is doing its job so I would rather not disable just to see if I can get Deluge running. So at this point I shall throw it back out to any one else that wants to give it a try. Sorry but no dice on my end.

Tried this out gave up after clicking allow 323 times on my firewall

normally is get permission globally for each apllication (1 permission for 1 program) , for example digitally signed (trust this manufacturer everytime)
I am familiar with globally allowing a program, however not ALL users would do so. Unless you trust a program explicitly this is not always a good idea ( and a program that requires that many permissions has me a bit worried). As I said I gave it my best shot and will not go further, maybe somone else will pick it up.

Check this link (its 3 links - multiply in one - about BitComet, and other torrent clients Portable) http://1link.in/hlvnd
After redaing, PAF creating should be much easier.
