An application like Ant Renamer

Does anyone know of a portable app like Ant Renamer (File renamer and file extension changer)? If it doesn't exist can someone work on the app I mentioned it is Open Source project.

Hi.

For future reference, please use the search box in the upper-right corner of the screen before posting. Ant Renamer is in the "Development forum" section, here:

If you need a program to rename many files, as long as their names are not written in Unicode, you can also use FreeCommander Portable from here (https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/freecommander_portable). Inside FreeCommander Portable, just select your files and press Ctrl+M (or F2 while several files are selected) to invoke the "Multi rename" window.

My posts are old and likely no longer relevant.

Portable file renamer

Here are two applications that may work for you. I believe both of them are entirely portable, just be sure to download the .zip file version. I use Renamer myself, but WildRename offers some nice options.

New data

I just found out that Renamer supports unicode, though WildeRename does not. I also found a reference to Ant Renamer which said the zip version is entirely portable as is. You may not need a substitute after all. Smile
