I tried to install Skype Portable today, but when I try to execute the installer I get the following NSIS error message:
Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.
Here's the link I followed:
Outdated download link removed
I have tried several times from different locations, all yield the same result. Is the installer damaged, by any chance? All help appreciated.
I just checked, the file downloaded from that link works fine, and has the same MD5 checksum as advertised on the bottom of it's page (https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/skype_portable). Please try downloading yet again. If it doesn't help, try using a different program (different web-browser or some full downloader app).
My posts are old and likely no longer relevant.
This is usually a drive issue, meaning the drive you are saving to has logical errors on it or is physically failing due to hardware failure or a faulty connection to the PC.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
A few days later, same browser, same PC and ... it works now !
Still a mistery, yet the most important is that it works.
Thanks!
