TrueTransparency Portable Development Test 4

Application: TrueTransparency
Catagory: Utilities(?)
License: Freeware
Description: TrueTransparency is a freeware that changes the windows border adding png support and so true transparency. The new version brings Aero Snap and Aero Shake effects. (thats a direct quote from the website)

Download TrueTransparency Portable Development Test 4 Online
.8 MB Download; 2.32 MB Installed
MD5: 8c4814ca3cf693aa46978069b1a57964

Skins
I also made 17 sexy skins for TrueTransparency Portable, you can download them all as an installer it will automatically install them to the appropriate folder in TrueTransparency Portable. Those with Development Test 3 do not need to first upgrade and then install the SkinPack, the installer will upgrade for you. Click the link below, or you can download individual themes by clicking here. You need to, however, extract the files manually to TrueTransparencyPortable\Data\settings\skin for it to work properly

Download installer for all 17 themes
1.2 MB Download, 6 MB Installed.
MD5: 6f1c1324879591492f722f8ca019895a

Note
I based them off CXP and Seven (the aero theme).

Release Notes
July 23, 2010: I decided not to have the skins folders copied back and forth because this can cause trouble for those who have a ton of skins (it will take a really long time to load/clean up after itself)
June 13, 2010: Fixed where it doesn't run after the first time. Sorry for all the bugs! Sad
June 11, 2010: Fixed installer.ini, fixed bug where TrueTransparency doesn't start up.
June 10, 2010: Initial Release

Other Notes
After you've run TrueTransparency for the first time, its going to save your settings to Data\settings. You add the skins you wish to add to there. I'm making a PortableApps.com skin, and I plan to put it into Development Test 2. If you wish to make your skin for it, I guess you can post your skin here, but it should be titled "New Skin" so it will be easy to find.

Fixes

A few fixes:

This looks like a nice app. It loses the blur feature of Aero, but that's to be expected.

well

you can't always get everything Blum

as for the fixes, I will implement in Development Test 2 (or Test 1 Rev 1, whichever comes first).

Doesn't work for me

Two things.

One:
The launcher flashes the splashscreen and never launches the actual app, not sure why.

Two:
Online installer doesn't work since installer.ini DownloadURL and DownloadFilename are different it never extracts.

May the Shwartz be with you

ok

I know what the problems are, I will fix them and hopefully have everything up and running in a little bit.

then I turned it off.

then I tried to turn it on again and no go

I rebooted and tried to turn it on

no commandline exit

I'm definitely auto-starting this program :), thanks for PAFing it, Pyromaniac!

The only downside to it is that it can't be exited from the commandline, at least as far as I can tell so far. exit, -exit, --exit, /exit, close...nothing works.

try this
KILLTASK TrueTransparency.exe

I don't know how windows will react though, since I think it has to reset the windows to how they looked before.

Thanks!

I originally tried to match the colors to the PortableApps.com Platform and I ended up accidentally coming up with new colors that I liked (my favorites are Oceanic and GoldAero)

It took me two years to make them... I started when I was 15, and I finished when I was 16 (had my b-day on monday) Blum
