VLC: WMV3

Check it out. VLC can't handle WMV3 without having WMP10 installed, which means PVLC isn't quite portable.

It is portable

For every other format. But WMV3 isn't supported by any open source software (WMV is a closed, proprietary, Microsoft format, remember) so VLC uses WMV10 to play it if it's available. Nothing but WMP can play WMV3.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I never really hated

I never really hated Microsoft until they started trying to make everything have to use MS software. *sigh*
Hopefully, like the guest said, the FFmpeg people will decode WMV3. DJ said that WMV 1&2 can be played already.

Vintage!
