I know that there's no support for developer previews and nightly builds but I want to ask if it's possible to fix the current nightly build which is avaiable as portable app. Even if I run the installer it crashes while downloading the latest nightly build showing up the following message:
The installer was unable to download Current Minefield Trunk Build.
The installation of the portable app will be incomplete without it.
(ERROR: File Not Found (404))
The installer creates a dictionary that can be found under F:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortableNightly that contains all installed files but I can't run Minefield, Portable Edition. It shows the following message:
Minefield, Portable Edition cannot be started. You may wish to re-install
to fix this issue. (ERROR: firefox.exe could not be found)
Any ideas to fix this problem?

As Mozilla ramps up one release from another, there will always be a window where you are unable to install nightly builds due to the fact that the name of the downloads changes (from alpha 5 to alpha 6 for example). Each time this happens, you will need to wait for a new release to be posted that takes this into account. As Minefield isn't an officially supported or main app, this may take a few days.

Alpha 5 has been posted and the nightly downloader has been updated to Alpha 6 Pre.
