Firefox 4.0beta 1 has been released! It would be great if somebody could create a portable version, for betatesters and others...

These are just beta 1 *candidates*. aka the things that might become 4.0 B1 if testing on them works out ok. They're about the same functionality-wise as the nightly build you can grab from the Firefox test page here:

Only problem is this Minefield, Portable Edition 3.7 Alpha 6 Pre Nightly doesn't install since it can't find files (probably due to version change?). Maybe that could get updated so we could use it?

Is this firefox Beta version safe to use for netbanking etc? Or is it insecure and unstable?
Beta means a test version. As in, no, you should not be using this as your everyday browser.

cuz Task Manager doesn't show firefox.exe
All this is in regard to @ https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/test , I DL'ed the (Ctrl+F): Download Minefield, Portable Edition 4.0 Beta 2 Pre Nightly , allowed for firewall internet access, took looooooooooong time to install (but did install cuz got the ''click FINISH to finish installing Minefield'' to that effects).
So then proceeded to test drive this bad boy but zippo-nada-zilch! Can u see what's wrong, John?

This isn't a related topic. This was someone mentioned 4.0 Beta 1 is released.
4.0 Beta 2 Pre is a nightly build. As in untested and completely unsupported. As in it may not even start. Or it could eat your drive. If you want to test 4.0, run beta 1 as that is relatively stable and went through some checks before being released.

There was a bug in it where it downloaded the 64bit version by mistake. Try downloading it again and then running the new installer.
