It's not open source. No-one has ever said that it is. We now deal with free software too (there was an announcement about it a few months ago), and host a few pieces of freeware software. See also the bottom of the app page - "License: Freeware for personal and educational use, business use requires a license".
I am a Christian and a developer and moderator here.
“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” – Proverbs 15:1
And the app directory where it is listed as "TeamViewer Portable (Freeware) - remote PC support and screen-sharing"
We try and make freeware as clear as possible. Shortly, you'll be able to view an open source-only app directory as well.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
If you were to look at the application list, it says right next to the application's name that it's freeware; and there are more. We know it isn't Open Source, it is freeware.
PortableApps.com has been discussing the support of freeware for a long time now. This site is no longer just OSS, It's FOSS.
Na na na, come on!
"Free and Open Source Software" doesn't mean "Freeware and Open Source Software". The free stands for Freedom
