Would portablle apps be a good for HTPC?

Would it be a great thing to use portableapps on your home theater pc for buisness, media, music and stuff?

Depends how you use it. I would not really use it on a theatre system, unless i had sumthing on there i wanted to use on my thumbdrive. Otherwise, you will get better performance (slightly) off a local install.
