Software from gottcode.org

I searched the forum and found no mention of this site or its software. I just wanted to introduce the developers to the games on http://gottcode.org/.

They are open source and very nice quality. I think they would make excellent additions to the PortableApps suite. Please have a look. Smile

Not only DMG

but they also come in .zip and .tar formats. However would they not be portable right out of the box?

edit:
oh, dmg is a user-name, that is what you mean, sorry.

Peg-E

If I had to choose, I would say Peg-E is my favorite of the games. I have seen many times where people have requested more games be added to the PA suite. I merely thought these would be good candidates, and that they should be brought to the attention of the PA community. Personally, I am content to use them in their current form. Smile

Full Screen?

Boy. When they said that its word processor, Focus Writer, will remove all distractions, they mean it. When i executed the program I thought I picked malware[I did not, however.], because it fits the whole screen.

edit:

their programs run portable right out of the box. However focus writer can only save\open .txt documents. Is there really a need to make them PA format?

Not quite "portable"

His software does not require installation and can be run from an external device, but at least some of the apps save settings to the registry. I have not noticed any problems because of this but the author himself says they are not really portable.

hmm...

They just seemed to be portable at first. I didn't really look below the surface, my observations were based on what I saw from programs on the surface. Do you know what kinds of stuff it saves into the registry?

The programs on this website are pretty unique, though I would like to see his word processor support more file formats like .doc and\or .odf, not just .txt.
