anonymous web surfing at work....

My question is this, is there a way to surf annymously at work. At work we have a network and they use websense and i guess they can see every website that you go to. I don't know if websense works with firefox, but i know that in ie websense can see everywhere you went. I want to surf anonymously, is there a portable app that allows this.
thanks

Note Really

Even if you were to use an anonymizer (like Tor, Anonymizer.com, etc) they'd know you were doing something you're not supposed to do. No, they wouldn't be able to see what sites you're visiting... but they could still fire you.

Of course, if their network is fully secured, you won't be able to use an anonymizer anyway.

Rather than a portable app,

Rather than a portable app, I'd suggest using something like www.logmein.com

This would allow you to remote control your home PC. Any web sites you bring up on your Home pc couldn't be tracked by your workplace, only the fact that you went to logmein.com

That is of course unless your workplace uses some kind of a screen capture utility like my former employer did. Then they can see exactly what was on your screen at any given time.

If you use portable firefox, you can install their firefox plugin.

Screen capture utilities should be illegal in that context. What if you had, say, your bank account login information on the screen at one point and the screen capture utility captured it? Anybody who has access to the capture logs would be able to see it! (granted, 99.9% of password fields are masked with stars, but still)

special browser

http://www.heidi.ie/NoTrax/default.php

This browser is supposedly small and allows you to be completely anonymous while you're surfing around. The only thing I don't know, is if this could be run by USB or Disc, besides being downloaded to the desktop.

Nothing Special

NoTrax is nothing special. Firefox Portable doesn't leave anything on your PC, either. And it's free. It does store your cookies on your portable drive... but you can turn that off in options if you'd like.

Doesnt matter if your

Doesnt matter if your company uses a proxy server (and they probably do). Every page you request can be logged. You might not leave tracks on the PC but it would be in the log.
