How can I record computer screen for ipad and mobile phone

Hi guys.

I'm new here and I wonder if there's anyone get experiences of making tutorial video and sharing on mobile devices.

I work for a software company and want to make some how-to software presentation videos for my client. I need to record my voice as narration. And I can watch the videos on my ipad and mobile phone.

Is there any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Wink

Wink is usually my software of choice to make this type of presentation. It has different settings for capture (timed, mouse-click, manual) and gives a very high level of control in editing the finished product. You can record your voice at the time of capture or add it in later.

It outputs a swf (Flash) file and a web page container for it, or an exe file. I don't know how they will play on Mac products.

Tanisthalon was working on a Portable version https://portableapps.com/node/3084 but the download file is gone, and he's no longer supporting it. You can find a copy of it in Softpedia.com if you look for it.

Thank you solanus

It seems that my iPad can't recognise neither SWF Flash video file nor EXE file. But I try Wink under Win7 and the screen video it creates is great, though it fails to work with my macbook.

I wonder if there is a screen capture (video but not screenshot) program which allows user to generate their video in .MOV or .MP4. Both PC and MAC program are OK.

Yeah, there's a whole thing with Mac and Flash

Unfortunately, both iPhone and iPad can't use Flash, or so I've heard.
There's another app called CamStudio, that exports files as avi files.
It's not as flexible as Wink, but it should be good for your purposes.
AVI files are common and should work on Mac, and it's easy enough to find converters if you want to save space and compress it to an mp4.

Oh, yeah

Xmedia Recode Portable, available here https://portableapps.com/node/21082 , can convert the swf files generated by Wink into mp4.

Thanks for your help!

I find a list of programs which can record computer screen at wiki. Some of them can even edit the video but they are paid wares. I don't know if I just use these tools for only one time so still bother whether to buy.

Now try Camstudio, Demo Creator and BB FlashBack. I'm on tight budget so I can only afford one under $100.

I check Camstudio, it's free and works well with my PC. And XMedia Recode Portable is awesome video converter Smile I decide to choose it, thumbs up.
