USB Read/Write Speeds

Does any one know of a free program to test the Read/Write Speeds

of a USB flash drive? I'm just looking to see how fast my drive is.

HD Tune

When we benchmark drives up here, we usually use HD Tune.

So get HD Tune, and head over to that topic (it's always nice to see it get a bump, pretty sure it's exempt from the "don't bump old topics" rule if you post on-topic) and rate your drive.

HD Tune

HD Tune isn't really the best choice for benchmarking flash drives, because it only tests read speed. Flash drives always have much lower write speeds, so it's important to check both. I like using Crystal Disk Mark, because it uses both sequential and random tests for read and write. It gives you a much better idea of the limitations of your drive.

speedtest

Try the "speedtest" website too, it tests your exact internet speed
and has something to do with download speed and tv streaming speed capabilities.

thanks for sharing

patrick013... Try the "speedtest" website too, it tests your exact internet speed

...which has nothing to do with disk speed.

Still, it's the thought that counts. Thanks for sharing.
