I am having some strange issues with the latest version of VLC (besides the folder opening problem mentioned in an earlier thread).
I copied all my CDs in Windows Media Player at the highest quality settings in WMA Lossless format, and when I try to play them in VLC Portable, it appears as though they are playing, but no sound comes out. I know VLC supports this format and bit rate, because if I click audio>audio tracks>disable and then re-enable it, it works perfectly fine and sounds great, but by then I have missed the beginning of the song (it is also really annoying to have to do this for each track I want to play). After that, I can replay the track as much as I want and it will still work, but when I close VLC and start it up again, I get the same problem.
I know that the files are good, because both the originals on my computer and the copies on my portable drive still work fine in WMP.
This is incredibly annoying, and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
It seems to only be happening on one computer (running XP SP3, the other is Vista and seems to not have this problem).
