One little thing about me is that I like to download all my portable apps as the zip files. I have some other portable apps as well, such as DeepBurner portable, that is already made (portable apps are the best thing to happen EVER). The thing is, I get stuck when I need to install an unzipper, and the only good unzippers I know of are winrar and 7zip, but both are installers. I think that a portable self-extracting 7zip program should be developed as well.
Some other open-source programs that don't have portable files being developed by the developer yet are:
Eraser
Azureus
StepMania
Also, PStart is a GREAAAAT program for any portable apps, and some other useful programs already come with zipped and portable alternative downloads such as:
DeepBurner
NotePad++
MediaPlayerClassic
and others that I can't think of right now
One more thing that I'd like to add, I'd like to say an AWESOME idea has been created by this site, and that because of you, programs are becoming more portable and less reliant on the windows registry and external storage files, and that has made computing MUCH MUCH better. Kudos to you.
7zip has been talked about many times, do a search and you will see what I mean. As far as PortableApps.com version, I do believe we will be seeing one very soon.
Azureus is a great BT client, but check out µTorrent, it is already portable.

the thing is, its in zip format. It also seems impossible to get a good self-contained archiver (ie 7zip cmd line) without having to install anything first.
They have zip and unzip command line programs.

Heres a portable GUI version of 7zip
The D\l page is in french but the app is in english and it works just fine.

They are looking for command line, not GUI.
