Ok I played around a little with RegRapper It is a nice little helper app.
The one alternative that I found that works great but requires admin rights on the machine is http://sanboxie.com
Is there any other options for the same type function but in any other reg helpers?

I'm not a big fan of the name "mkPort." I know it's supposed to stand for "make portable", but I just don't see the connection. Instead, it sounds like some sort of port management program.
Oh well. It's your program; name it as you wish.

seems he's using a naming convention that alot of *nix's use for their commands.
I'm aware of this. It's still not a very good name. The "Port" in "mkPort" makes it sound like some sort of port management program... almost as if it's supposed to be "make a port" instead of "make a portable application"

There is another project working on the same idea over at portablefreeware.com forums. They are calling it PortaPotty, still working on the name. But maybe you guys can chat and see what each other are doing. Somone from here has already mentioned Liberta once in the forum thread to the writer. Could be something if you both are workign toward the same ends.

Don't feel stupid for calling it Lapwing, Steve. It's a good name, on par with the name of my game engine, FatHawk 5. It seems silly at first glance, but it actually sounds pretty cool to say.

All though Sandboxie does just what I want to a sertain degree it is not trueley 100% portable. It requires a driver to be installed.
