How-to disable FF-portable "Extension SCANNING" when used on different host machines with default FF already installed?

How can I configure my Firefox Portable (perhaps in about:config?) to permanently and completely DISABLE "extension scanning"?

I have my portable firefox configured just the way I like it. But when I use it on different machines it will "pick up" the extensions already installed on the host computer (if that computer has a default "real" version of Firefox already installed with those extra extensions..)

How can I totally prevent my portable firefox from even scanning them? I'm NOT talking about plugins.. I got Portable FF to stop looking for plugins, but now I need to find a way to get it to stop looking for new extensions too!

Hi, and welcome to PortableApps.com

First of all, welcome to the forums!

I would strongly recommend that when you have questions like this, you take a look in the search system first, as there is a good chance that the question has been covered before.

If you go to https://portableapps.com/user/155630 you will find details of the config options for Firefox to disable the behaviour you're seeing.

What? No, my EXACT question

What? No, my EXACT question has never been covered before, and if it has, it most certainty hasn't been resolved - else I wouldn't be asking on here now would I? Please read it more carefully next time.

And FYI, that link you pointed to (https://portableapps.com/user/155630) it points to my own profile.. How is this supposedly or allegedly helping me "find details of the config options for Firefox to disable the behaviour you're seeing."?

Benedikt was quite correct

My apologies for the wrong link. I had checked your profile to see if you were a new user or not, and found that you were, so welcomed you to the site.

I also searched for the answer for you, but then unfortunately, as I was composing the reply, I grabbed the URL from the wrong tab of my browser to paste into it.
