I'd like to see this game in a portable format as well.
I could make a CrossFire Portable app, but the problem is that the file size downloading is 411MB or whatever. This may take some time for me, as my internet is so friken' slow. But I do know how to make an app. But, IF CrossFire doesn't use Java or .NET. I'm still learning how to add Java, and .NET is impossible.

Also, I need to know if CrossFire is open sourced or closed sourced. Open Sourced means that all the stuff in the game can be edited (something like the Cube Engine), while closed source means that you CANNOT modify any of the files in any way (Sorta like Spiral Knights). If Open Source, I can include the game in the installer. Closed Source means I can only host a Launcher.
As there are many apps here, that are freeware and not open source, would it be possbile to "portify" CrossFire?
