Okay, 13 minutes later... you waited too long!
I just reverse-engineered the process! I installed Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6 on the HD of my primary machine, e.g. my desktop, and copy n' pasted the 'Data' directory from my thumbdrive to it. Works fine!
You see... I've been using PFF/FFP 1.5.x.x all along, on my thumbdrive, but Firefox 1.0.8(ax) on my desktop -- but it's getting a little ridiculous now!!! My thumbdrive was several generations ahead of my desktop...
So, now that this has worked, I guess I'll keep using FFP on my desktop, and erase any and all remnants of regular ol' Firefox from my registry, and so forth.
This sure is going to make things easier -- a direct 1:1 bi-directional copy from my desktop to my thumbdrive, and vice-versa!
Bwahahaha! Thanks for your help!!!
