Thunderbird 3.1.4 - Acrobat Attachment

Just a small hint to the development-team of Thunderbird portable - related to the functionality of Adobe Acrobat Pro:

Acro Pro offers a quickly way to sent the current opened PDF's via email. Therefore you just have to select file/sent as email and then Acro opens the current Mail-Client and attaches the PDF automatically - very practicable and very, very quick!!!

But it does not work with the portable editions :-(((

I found out, that the Mail-Client has to be set as the current one in the System-Settings (At Win7Pro: Internetoptions/Software --> define Software --> Programm Settings --> User --> Select a Email-Client). But the portable editions were not displayed there, so you don't could select them.

Helpful would be a patch, that fixes this problem (how could Win7 may think, that there is a 'real' Mail-Client)

Would be nice it will work in the near future / with some next update...

Many thanks,
Ralf

No

It's not a problem... this is a portable program, that mean that it was created not to be "the default program" in any computer... if you want it to be the default program then download and install the non portable version of it.

Portable means that it was designed to be carried with you in your USB memory not to be attached (default program) to any computer.

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin
