In the PortableApps.com website Applications page,in the list of applications mentioning Version info will be very helpful to avoid opening of the application for download and finding it as the version already have is time consuming.

You don't need to check back for updates here. You just need to use the PortableApps.com Updater (currently in testing in the 2.0 Beta 5 release of the platform) to automatically check for updates for all your apps.

After the reply to my initial request i tried the The updater platform 2.0 B5.It is amazing.I am layman in softwares handling,yet found it at home.The choice of themes and icon adding is making it quite personal as one likes.All applause to the wonderful team.Little suggestions :
# 1-In the updater window change the sentence as "Please wait while PortableApps.com updates being installed".
# 2-For any reasons if an update not successful instead of halting with a message,it is better to make it proceed to next with a log report which can be seen later.
# 3-If the updater includes choice of new Apps also with a full list to choose it will be nice.
Being a layman for asking so much don't curse me.
