Hi, my problem is the following:
When I start Opera Portable (10.62) it runs by default in English. When I change it to Spanish all goes fine, but when I closes it and the opens it again, it runs in English again.
What is weird is that I've changed the start page and imported my Firefox's bookmarks and that don't have any problems.
Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits.
PortableApps Platform 1.6.1.0 (running in Spanish International).
Opera Portable installed in "J:\PortableApps\OperaPortable" (installed by "Options -> Install a New App"), J is a 1GB Transcend Pendrive.
Thanks.
What language do you have the PortableApps.com Platform in? Opera, Portable Edition will automatically change language to the language the platform is in via automatic language switching (GIMP, Pidgin and most of our other apps do, too.
EDIT - Just noticed you said it was Spanish International. Let me check something...
EDIT - Confirmed. It would seem that it is improperly setting the language from the platform in Spanish and SpanishInternational due to a mapping error (mapping our language code to Opera's internal language codes. I'll start working on a fix.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I've posted a fix here: https://portableapps.com/node/25190
Please try it and post your results.

I've already posted there, but that fixed my issue.
Thanks again John.
had lost all opera portable settings yesterday -- all fixed after wipe & reinstall of opera
Had copied over 2 files from opera@usb profile folder, wand.dat & speeddial.ini
not long after computer froze & I rebooted computer (waited 10 mins then decided to reboot) -- result was losing the opera settings
so perhaps good advice is not to copy over files from other opera profiles?

the same thing happened to me but on the dev version, I guess I will have to start over again but it wasn't much or use another version for now. It happened to me when the drive disconnected from my PC since it's a faulty USB port, but it should still be able to recover the data, not overwrite it and now asking me if it is the default browser.

Also lost my settings between closing down OperaPortable yesterday and opening it this morning - a mystery. Had to roll back to a previous version I kept zipped on another drive, unzipped it and voila! everything's dandy!! Great mystery - anybody else with the same experience?
