Portableapps not working after install...DOS prompt comes up then disappears

I've installed portableapps on one of my flash drives and works beautifully but today I tried to install it on my 8gig flash drive (I'm using the lite install BTW) and it opens up after the install is done but once I eject the flash drive and reinsert it into my pc I am unable to open it. A DOS prompt comes up then disappears. I don't know why it's doing that. I double clicked the autorun settings and it's empty and the icon does not work. Any ideas what is happening? My flash drive is FAT32 formatted and it's 8gigs. Any help would be appreciated.

seeking assistance

Hi,

Just joined and have v limited knowledge of IT or web ettiquette so please forgive any faux pas. I figured since my problem appears to be the same as HaXiCaN I should try posting here.

Just purchased a new laptop (Win 7 64 bit, home premium?)
Having heard about portable apps I was keen to set them
up on an 8GB usb flash drive (FAT32).
I first tried portable apps suite standard, then, after formatting, portable apps platform, manually add apps.
As with HaXiCaN while the apps would open immediately after installation, after removing drive they failed.

1. Portable apps suite would not launch citing compatibility issues.
2. After installing open office app on platform, no other apps would install (because it says 7.3/7.9GB?)
3. After removal portable apps platform ran but only
mozilla firefox appeared (would not run)
Disappeared:
- Open office
- Foxit pdf
- KeePass
- Clamwin
- 7zip
4. Clicking on the installation for apps brings up compatibility problem message

Am I missing something here (like a patch or a process)?
I tried the drive on another computer (Vista) but have the same problem. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on this matter
