Regardless of the extension, every time I click on the 'Install' button I get the following message:
Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html.
Failed to load resource.
Oddity: if I use Chrome on the PC, the same extensions install fine, just not on the Portable Apps version of Chrome. Both are version 7.0.517.44.

I've also noticed this problem as well. I can't install extensions or themes either. The older Google Chrome Portable versions did it's job.
Same here. According to Google code forums this problem has been fixed from version 5! Anyway it seems to be a TMP/TEMP path issue...
