Found a really cool app, 3 actually...

- Revouninstaller
- Recuva
- Transmute

Are there any plans to include any of these?

Thanks

P.S. What about LibreOffice, the icons look much nicer than OO.o

Use the search.

Search before you post. Two of these apps are already being developed.

Hi, Sorry. Which apps are

Hi,

Sorry.

Which apps are being "developed"?

I only found Transmute last night and it is excellent as it "transmutes" bookmarks between mozilla/opera & IE, very helpful.

I miss the old standalone bookmark manager programs such as PowerMarks but can make do with the inbuilt managers in whatever browser flavor, however I cannot work without Transmute, so I'm hoping you people will cotton on to the fact of it being in your interests to make.

Thank you

Like I said, had you searched

Like I said, had you searched you would have found them. (I purposely didn't link you so you would try to find them on your own.)

Welcome to PortableApps!

This is one of the most active community forums I've ever been on, and there is a huge amount of information on apps that are being developed. Here's some useful tips to help you get started exploring, etc:

  • There's a partial list of apps being developed here: https://portableapps.com/development/test . It's up to the developer of the app to get it onto the list, which is why it's partial.
  • The Search box at the top right of the page - try the app name in there first. Make sure you use the correct spelling and spaces in the right places, the site search isn't as smart as Google.
  • Try using the Recent Posts link at the bottom left of the page to follow the hot topics.
  • If you want to request an app and you are sure you are the first one, follow the Unofficial Guidelines to format your request https://portableapps.com/node/4507 as it shows in the example.

Hope this helps!

eh not really

Took me months to get Halo Zero Portable up there...

I think it's more partial because most of the people allowed to edit the OP won't do so.

I do

I update it when I remember to. That varies between "often" and "rarely".

I am a Christian and a developer and moderator here.

Correction

It's up to the developer of the app to add a comment to the page, so that a moderator can add it to the table.
Sometimes it takes moderators a long time to update the table, which is obvious when the list of unaddressed comments grows long.
This delay means that at times the list is outdated.

But the delay has nothing to do with ultimately how complete the list is. The fact is that quite a few developers never even post a comment, and if they don't post, then it's not the fault of the moderator - they aren't mind readers.

Also, if you feel that your post is going unnoticed for too long, you can always log into IRC and give a gentle reminder to the volunteers who serve as moderators.

Transmute alternative?

I'm not sure if this would interest you, but just in case...

Have you looked at http://xmarks.com (formerly foxmarks)? I have been using them for a number of years now and have been very happy with them. They "Specialize" in cross-browser bookmark syncing. They do have a installer which has not been made portable AFAIK (although I have to confess I did not search the forum). However, what I do is set my home page to my account at xmarks.com, and then I have access to all my bookmarks portably.

It amazes me that on the internet you can be anything you want, and yet so many people still choose to be idiots.

XMarks

Looks like they found a buyer then. Hopefully they won't cripple the non-premium service.

Agreed. A free version that is too crippled would not make me a happy camper Smile
