Transmute Portable*

I found a program on the internet that allows you to convert between bookmarks on Mozilla, Opera & IE and I think it would be a very good addition to this site since here (PA.com) seems to be the best at QC (quality control) of these installers etc rather than a "raw" zip file so if an expert can make it happen that would be great I reckon.

Here's the link to the contact page:

http://www.gettransmute.com/contact/

if anyone can get it going would be utterly great

Fingers x'D they say yes

Please

could you at least share the site you found it on?

Hi, can you please format your request...

Hi, can you please format your request according to the Un-Official Request Apps Guidelines:
https://portableapps.com/node/4507
There's even an example of the correct format there. You'll see that most of the app requests are posted this way.
By doing this, you are providing the minimum info that a prospective dev needs to get started.

You should just edit your original post to the correct format (don't start another new thread).

Also, make sure you have the spelling of the app name correct - isn't it Transmute?

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

Typing too quickly, I was very keen to say what I knew because I'd been looking for years for something like it.

I think due to the proliferation of Portable Applications generally but in particular the types found here, has meant many software makers design their software (or distribution thereof) pro-actively since they don't want dodgy copies on free hosts but it would be nice to have that application here I believe and would further add to the diversification of the application base.

Thanks solanus!

P.S. If you could correct my thread title it would be appreciated.

Hi Solanus I looked at the

Hi Solanus

I looked at the website and it says "Android" so does that mean it is open source?

Also the guide to app requesting was confusing, too many comments which is what I don't like about this site when an app is posted everyones' got to have a say really unprofessional I reckon.

Here's what I meant by format

In the Unofficial guide, don't worry too much about the comments.
The main post has this at the bottom:

Program: My Example Program

License: Open Source/GPL

Description: An example program.

Website: http://www.example.org/

Other: 5 registry entries found under HKLM\MyEx

Which is what I meant.
I agree it's a little confusing, I'll ask is the moderators can clean it up and make it an Official Guide with clear instructions. I actually use a slight modification of this format for my requests.

I looked at the site, it looks like only the Standard version is freeware.
Android just refers to the fact that they are making a special version of this for the Android operating system for mobile devices.
I couldn't find a license notification anywhere on the page.
I don't think it's Open Source. Open Source apps tend to proudly display 2 things on their sites - a link to the license file, and a link to download the source code. So this is just freeware.
It looks like they have a portable edition for download already, so it might be pretty straightforward to put it in PA.c format. The developer will first need to get permission from Darq Software.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

Thanks Solanus for pointing

Thanks Solanus for pointing that out.

I'll try and understand the requirements to submit an application for "portablizing" but as it was my first request it may be that because I am so novice in this area that the Request Apps forum can simply be to say the apps I want and you can crystalize it more later like the other "forum" posted i.e. developer testing applications but a middle stage before that happens.

I've never actually had to dive into the registry since I use revo uninstaller and windows live safety center so cool mostly except windows update demands updates be done all at once otherwise it screws up the system.

Cheers
