ok thanks, have two sugestions...
1. add all languages
2. now is download C:/Documents and Settings/KOS-tas/Halite Downloads/Incoming
can you make the same path how in the utorrent projekt;
HalitePortable\Data\downloads.
bye
Kostas
I will add those to the list of things I need to do.
1. I'm not sure how to add languages but I will look into that If it can be done.
2. Looking to see how that can be done now.

May i know how ur going to redirect t downloads path..
There is no substitute for experience...
PAL can edit files. The settings downloads path is in a settings file.

I had a quick look at HalitePortable, and I do not think there is a need to get PAL to write the specific XML settings for the download folder. Actually, if you would, then the user would never be able to choose it's own preferred folder.
PAL 2.1 has another feature which deal with the %PAL:(Last)PackagePartialDir%. It is used to update the entire path (instead of just the drive-letter) in settings files.
The good thing about this feature is that you can include 'Halite.xml' into the DefaultData folder plus a matching 'Halite PortableSettings.ini' which contains the 'LastDrive=X:' & 'LastDirectory=\PortableApps\Halite Portable'. The settings in 'Halite PortableSettings.ini' need to match the paths in 'Halite.xml', so on first run it will update the path to where the user installed it. This gives the user the option to decide to change the path after-wards without issues. Then on the next times HalitePortable gets used on different drive-letters (or maybe even paths) the launcher automatically updates the path and so it points to the 'HalitePortable' folder.
Here are the specific settings you will need in your Launcher 'Halite Portable.ini':
Here is a copy of the DefaultData settings I used.
Let me know if you have additional questions !

Sorry about dropping out of chat, I accidently left pchat up when I went to church, got back home realized it was up and closed it out because I have to get some work done.
I have the language files I will work on that tonight. I will take a second and see if that file write works. I did the file write last night but could not get it to work, I think I left out "%PAL:DataDir%".
Thanks for the help.
EDIT: I got the file write to work by changing
Find=%PAL:LastDrive%\
Replace=%PAL:Drive%\
To
Find=%PAL:LastDrive%
Replace=%PAL:Drive%
Should the default data go in Data\DefaultData ?

Something I could not tell you anymore is the xpath to the language setting in Halite.xml file:
XPaths are a bit tricky to figure out, the rest I leave up to you to play and test with !
Ah, another last thing, I realized HalitePortable picks-up the local settings in 'Local Settings\Application Data' when ever Halite is locally installed. (Folder is in XP, not sure what that folder would be in Vista/7). You need to find a solution for that.

I guess I will add multi language support in a later release.Multi language support looks like it will be the easiest I will see if I can do it in the next release.Which settings are getting picked up. When I installed Halite it had settings in 'Local Settings\Application Data\Halite' but when I copied Halites program files and ran it from my desktop it put the settings in the same folder that the Halite (on my desktop) was in. I will see what can be done.

ok thanks, because your "newer snapshot"(is like a beta) is not posible to use on win xp PC's
What do you mean my "newer snapshot"?
"It's just an online installer. It's not going to mug you.", JTH
"The shell is the key to unlock Linux's greatest advantages."
your PA Halite is a "snapshot" version 0.3.3.0, but snapshot is in Halite project other name for "unstable version".
the snapshot have much extremly bugs and on 99% trackers are not allowed.
Last stable version is Halite v0.3.2.2
Thats not fair.
uTorrent is relased and IS NOT open source and very SUSPECT tool(spyware).
and Halite is a opensource project and is absolutly CLEAN.
Last stable version is Halite v0.3.2.2.
@dagardner can you make Halite portable or other good PA dev, please.
It's not done yet, there is one major bug that I am trying to figure out how to fix :/
