After the reeset today? seems that www.portableapps.com still brings me to the offline page bit http:///portableapps.com works?
Does this mean I should change all of my bookmarks?

Every browser I test it bring me right to portableapps.com if I type in www.portableapps.com. You try a shift-reload? We've actually never used www by the way.

Everything I know of including clearing cache and cookies, seems to have changed for me when The reset was done, and it is not the cup of teat screen either one that has the logo and links to SF for the platform and also for other apps

Try a different browser. Otherwise, I'd guess your ISP's caching servers are messed up.
