The only way I heard of to make Clamwin "realtime" was to use something like WinPooch, but that program is no longer developed and even if it were I don't know if it would be a portable solution. Perhaps there is a newer solution.
You can use Clamwin to scan downloads from FirefoxPortable. Not exactly a realtime solution but it helps. You'll have to search these forums for that, I don't remember the exact steps.
Okay, almost all internet cafe here dont use an AV, instead they use deep freeze. Tha'ts why once i start the net, my usb gets a bunch of virus. Are'nt there any other freeware usb av that provides a realtime av protection?
that makes it even harder as the main drive is not capable of being infected (easly) but any non frozen media is open for infection. no there is no Real Time AV that will work for you. Deep Freeze makes it so you dont have admin access. Use ClamWin portable to scan before you put the drive into the computer, during and after. this is the only way so far. Real time AV needs persistance as well.

for Real Time AV protection the program would need administrative rights to scan System files. this is not possible with portable program.
Also a portable AV would conflict with real time AV's and Firewall programs on the host computers.
