Copied a copy of portable Thunderbird onto a 2GB USB Flash stick .. and then copied my profiles from my desktop installed version of (full) Thunderbird ...
Getting email from my accounts is working great ...
I also have several RSS/XML feeds that are working fine on the desktop version of Thunderbird ... BUT ... the PTB reports(in the bottom status message area) "Http;//blah blah blah.com/rss.php is not a valid RSS feed" ...
Several feeds are .php/RSS/XML files ... and ARE working OK on the desktop but not on PTB ...
Any ideas?
GaryW
PS. PTB Version : 1.5.0.5 (20060719)
The plot thickens ....!!!
Even the RSS feeds from here (This forum) ... come up as invalid RSS Feeds ...

I checked this forums RSS feed in both desktop and Thunderbird Portable, even moving the TBP directory around, and had no issues at all.
That said, RSS is a bit buggy in Thunderbird still... and issues like this (random RSS feeds saying invalid when they aren't) do happen. Your best bet for doing RSS on the go is to use Firefox Portable with the Sage extension.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John .. Thanks for quick reply ..
Will prob try the sage plug-in ..
As I indicated ... and what puzzles me the most ... is the fact that everything is working OK on the same (full) version of Thunderbird on the Desktop office PC ...
Kind Regards,
