logoGet Sudoku Portable 1.0 has been released. Get Sudoku is an interactive sudoku solver. It helps you figure out the possible values for a puzzle based on the numbers already filled in. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.

I wanted to thank jeffm for an older package of this. I've since re-done it using the PA.c Launcher to get it up to modern specs.

Doesn't this take the fun out of sudoku? The point is to solve it yourself, not have someone or something else do it for you. This is almost as bad as the Android phones able to take a picture of the board and solve the whole thing for you.

For some people stuck on a paper puzzle or an electronic one in another program, this can help them figure out their options. It can also be handy for learning the logic behind solving a sudoku in your head.
